We're back on Hockeydocs after a short layoff, so without further ado, here's a batch of notes from around the league;
-Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal has been the subject of trade rumors recently, and several teams have been connected to him, including the Montreal Canadiens.
-However, despite the trade interest in Hanzal, the Coyotes are still not ruling out a contract extension with him.
-After suffering a knee injury during the Lightning's last game against the Red Wings, Steven Stamkos will miss the remainder of this year as he will require surgery to repair his lateral meniscus in his knee. It is a 4-6 month recovery putting Stamkos in line for a May return at the very earliest. That's certainly a huge blow to both Stamkos and the Lightning.
-The Canucks are keeping tabs on Sabres forward Evander Kane, as the team has continued to be connected to him in trade rumors since the beginning of the season. It is not known at this time whether or not Buffalo will deal him, but they'll surely ask for a decent return for their forward.
