NHL Notes; Red Wings, Vegas, Jack Eichel Update

A few notes from around the league:

-The Detroit Red Wings currently find themselves in the Atlantic division cellar after winning just 2 of their last 11 games. While players have expressed frustration with the team's lack of play as of late, it will be up to them to change the direction they are going. Scoring is once again the main issue to Detroit's struggles, but with Tomas Vanek back from injury, that may help a bit.

-Now that the Vegas Golden Knights have moved past the naming process, it's time for the team to begin coming up with ideas for their first team roster. Scouts for the team are bound to be all over the place checking out potential players to pick in the upcoming expansion draft following the season.

-For the first time in 6 weeks since injuring his ankle, Sabres forward Jack Eichel is now skating with the team. That puts Eichel even closer to a return. It's not known exactly when Eichel will make his NHL debut, but the fact that he is skating is certainly an encouraging sign.
